We carried out some research to find out what Audience expectations were of the horror genre.
Interviews:
Common themes and ideas throughout the interviews were:
- Gore/ blood
- Zombies
- Generally undeveloped story lines
- Jump-scares
- Suitable music and sounds
Survey:

Common themes in the survey answers are:
- having a sense of mystery/ambiguity
- having spooky and relevant music
- not giving away the ending of the story too quickly
- having scary moments or jump scares
